I put an empty medium on the DHS hive before I left town and less then 2 week later it is full and partically capped. Going to add extra medium today to give them more honey storage and hopefully keep them from swarming.
Still no swarm calls this year, come on free bees!

What kind of foundation did you use?

I'm foundationless for the most part. I use popsicle sticks horizontally in the groves, it takes two, instead of foundation. If I use any foundation I use small cell 2" starter strips, but I don't do that often.
